Police Departments across the State of Indiana began the "Click it or Ticket" campaign on May 20, 2013. The targeted seat-belt enforcement program runs through June 2, 2013. Special patrols looking for persons not wearing seatbelts will be conducted by approximately 250 law enforcement agencies throughout Indiana.
In my experience these increased patrols lead to an increase in other traffic citations, including, Driving While Suspended, Operating as an Habitual Traffic Violator and Drunk Driving (DUI/OWI). Follow the law, put your seatbelt on and make sure your passengers are wearing their seatbelts as well.
